The SEMEL – Stories Leading to Success – Method has been implemented
in the Education System since 2004 and works to strengthen self-image and
to increase student's learning motivation through the Narrative Approach
and Success Stories.

The method is based on the Narrative Approach that supports the
assumption that every person has a life story, and the story the person tells
about his or her life greatly influences the way he or she lives it. 

SEMEL leads students and teachers to make a significant change in their lives, by
changing the way they construct their life story.

 

 

The method is based on an academic study of 100 life stories of people who

have grown up in difficult living conditions, extricated themselves from
situations of distress and reached key positions in the society. The study
was published in the book: Barzilai, S. (2009), The Secret of the Winning
story; following the success stories, Zak Press.
A doctoral thesis that was written at Bar-Ilan University by Dr. Ronit Kuriel,
proved the considerable contribution of the SEMEL Method to the students
and teachers who had participated in this progra
